We have constantly invested to minimize our impact on the environment.
As the sun moves us, in our own factory of the area of 3000m², in the small city of Três Rios, in sunny Rio de Janeiro, we produce 100% of the (solar) energy we use.
As water is our home and our cause, we use and reuse the rain water and treat our own wastewater. We don't pollute oceans or rivers. Instead, we contribute to NGO's such as Ocean Clean Up and Big Blue donating part of our benefit to their missions ou participating in Cleanup events.
In order to ensure the commitment with the planet preservation and provide you sustainable swimwear, from 2022 most of our bikinis and swimsuits are made with Amni Soul Eco®, the only biodegradable polyamide yarn in the world.
Its improved formula allows all cloth made with this innovative technology to quickly decompose after being properly disposed of in landfills.
Besides, our textile carries the STANDARD 100 label, thus you can be certain that every thread has been tested for harmful substances and that the article therefore is harmless for human health. The test is conducted by the independent OEKO-TEX® partner institutes on the basis of our extensive OEKO-TEX® criteria catalog. In the test they take into account numerous regulated and non-regulated substances, which may be harmful to human health. In many cases the limit values for the STANDARD 100 go beyond national and international requirements. The criteria catalog is updated at least once a year and expanded with new scientific knowledge or statutory requirements.
It is not easy for manufacturers and customers to keep an overview of the legal situation concerning harmful substances every day. The experts from the OEKO-TEX® institutes do this for us.
Finally, we also mainly use recycled and recyclable materials, recycling all of them and donating the residues of the production to the local community that produces craft.
